Purple Cow Reunion and Other Random Shots

Today I got to see some of mommy's college friends again! Mommy's really good friend Erin was in town so Meg, Elizabeth, Erin and mommy decided to get together. We went to Meg's house! I got to play with Hazel (2 months), Henry (2 1/2 years- helping to take the photo with Erin's husband) and Maggie (8 months old).

Oliver and I had lots of fun playing with Erin. She's going to make a good mommy...soon!!! We gave her a good dose of what life with children is like!

Oliver really liked hanging out with Maggie. He always seemed to have a smile on his face when she was around.

Here's a picture of mommy and Erin sharing a seat. They told Oliver and me that they loved us so much that we could each have our own chair. Oliver told mommy her "bum fit just fine." Not to be a snitch or anything but last week Oliver told mommy she couldn't sit on a toy at the park because "her bum bum didn't fit." Mommy thought it was pretty funny!

Meg made us a delicious lunch with lots of yummy treats for dessert. After all the fun, I was so tired on the ride home that I slept the entire way.

Here is a totally random photo from earlier today. I told mommy that I was going to dress myself and this is what I ended up wearing. Mommy gently guided me into wearing something different to go to Meg's house!

On Sunday, we went to Wingaersheek Beach to meet up with daddy's friend from school, his wife and their two little kids. Here we are trying to avoid the Oliver splash. I think I'm making myself a prime target.

Once I realized I was about to get REALLY wet I started to run away.

So, those of you who know mommy well, know she really likes McDonalds. The other night we had Happy Meals for dinner. I must admit, I am my mother's daughter because I LOVED my dinner. Mmmmm Good!

Hip Hip Hooray...It's a Park Day!

Yesterday, we went to a park we had never been to before! It was a science park in Gloucester and it was reallllllyyyy fun! There was so much to play with. They didn't have any baby swings so I had to go on the big girl one.

Here is a picture of one part of the park.

There were all these things to turn and play with. Really, it just seemed like there were giant steering wheels everywhere but I liked it.

There was a "balance beam" which we walked across to get to the slide. Oliver was VERY careful making his way across. I patiently followed him.

Oliver was definitely braver when it came to the roller slide. This was one of the coolest slides. He would go down by himself but I needed some help.

I had so much fun on the swings. Oliver and I could have swung all day.

I am not sure how to describe this thing I'm standing on. Basically we hold on and it spins around. I think I was probably too little for it but because Oliver was doing it, I wanted to try too!

Oliver and I went on the see-saw together!

In the afternoon, we met up with Lorelai and Auntie Shannon and went for a walk.

In other developments, I know the ABC song and I learned to jump this week with two feet. I have been jumping all over the house. I have also become extremely affectionate and love showering mommy and daddy with hugs and kisses. Overall, being 21 months old is pretty fun!

My Bags Are Packed, I'm Ready to Go...

I have been really excited to spend the night at Nonna and Papa's house without mommy and daddy. Finally, Monday arrived and it was time to pack our bags and meet Nonna halfway and drive back to Cape Cod with her.

Here I am waving goodbye to mom. I didn't quite understand that she was taking us in her car to meet Nonna. I was all ready to go. I love my mom and dad and all but sometimes it's nice to be with my other people.

I was excited to see a note from mommy when we got to Cape Cod. I had so much fun with Nonna and Papa. I especially loved the bow tie pasta, meatballs and snuggles from Nonna. Before I left for Cape Cod, mommy asked me where I was going to sleep when I got there and I told her "upstairs, in my crib at nonna and papa's house." I had my babies and my blanket and I was happy to go to sleep there.

When mommy arrived the next day, Nonna, mommy, Oliver and I went to the children's museum. I liked everything there.

But, one of the funnest parts of my vacation was making my own pizza. Here is a picture of Papa giving me a pep talk on how to make the best pizza. Even at dinner the coach in him came out! I appreciated the advice though because I'd like to think that I definitely made the best one!!!

When we got home from Cape Cod, Oliver insisted on wearing my pants. Really, he is so funny. He knew it was funny because he was laughing hysterically the whole time. I love my brother!!!

Grammi's Birthday and Tea Party with Gabriella

Our week of parties continued yesterday with Grammi's birthday! We had fun picking out a cake for her and we each picked out our own card for her. I sang Happy Birthday to Grammi on the phone before she went to work.

Oliver REALLY wanted to blow out Grammi's candle but he wasn't quite able to!

I was happy about that because it meant that Grammi was able to make her own wish and blow out the candle.

Here we are looking at the card I picked out. I had quite a bit to say to Grammi in the card. It went something like "Dear Grammi, Dear Dzia Dzia, Dear Nonna, Dear Papa, Dear Mimi, Dear Papa."

This afternoon Gabriella and I spent some quality girl time together while Aunt Carolyn hung out with Oliver. We decided to have a little tea party.

True to my personality, I couldn't just sit and sip tea like a lady. I had to try to be funny and put the cup on my head!

To be honest, I would have preferred REAL cake and REAL tea but imaginary was okay.

Good Thing I like Glasses Because I'll Probably Need Them Someday!

Lately I have been into glasses. I like to wear Mr. Potato Head's glasses and most recently I had fun wearing Grammi's knitting glasses when I was at her house. It's a good thing because odds are I will probably need them someday so why not check out the styles now, right?

This morning Oliver and I decided to spend quite a bit of time reading the Toy Story books that he got for his birthday. He did a pretty good job of sharing them but he did like to convince me that splitting them up evenly meant I had 4 and he had 8. Who does he think he's trying to trick anyway?

This afternoon we went to a park. Yet another park. Luckily Oliver and I never seem to get tired of them. Here I am going down the slide. Lately I've been a little hesitant going down by myself but I seem to be outgrowing that phase.

Oliver and I love to ride the swings. We could get pushed on them for hours. Mommy told me that Oliver never really liked the swing until I decided that I did and then he joined in! Even though I'm younger, I'm definitely the leader sometimes!

Tonight I made mommy happy because I helped clean up after dinner and then I said, "Mommy, can I please put my dirty napkin in the trash?" I am becoming a big helper around the house. I got big hugs and kisses after!
