Special Nonna and Papa Vacation!

Nonna and Papa invited us to spend a few days down at the Cape this past week! Oliver and I were more than excited to get our adventure started. We had a fun-filled busy two days. When we arrived, we found out that we were having hot dogs and macaroni and cheese for dinner by the fireplace. What a great way to start our vacation.

The next morning, Oliver went downstairs with Papa to throw a ball around while I "helped" Nonna do the laundry. What I really did was browse through catalogs deciding which dolls I wanted to get. It's wishful thinking on my part!
Then it appears I had a little hair situation going on! I guess it is time for another haircut.

After a yummy breakfast, Nonna brought out the clay for us to play with. We made all sorts of things out of clay.

Then we went outside with Nonna and Papa and went on the playground.

What could be more fun than making a fort out of Nonna and Papa's dining room table?

Oliver's in the fort ready to hang out.

Here he is helping me in the fort.

The next morning we woke up and found out we were going to Nonna and Papa school! The weather was so rainy that they took us downstairs. We said the Pledge of Allegiance.

We had gym class- Oliver hit some balls and I rode around.

We colored on the paper with markers.

Then, for the grand finale we did the egg bottle experiment which was SO cool!

Last night, we went to make our own pizzas...a tradition when we see Nonna and Papa.
Thank you Nonna and Papa for a fun time! We love visiting you!

Winter Fun!

Yesterday, mommy, daddy, Oliver and I headed up to Maine to spend the night. We hadn't been up there all winter and decided that since daddy had today off, we would go on an adventure. We met Grammi and Dzia Dzia there. When I got there, I acted like I didn't remember Maine. Here I am sitting with Grammi trying to figure out if I know where I am.

After we had lunch, we all went outside to do some sledding. I really wanted to go first with Dzia Dzia. We decided to start at the top of the hill.

If you look at our faces, you'll realize we're going a little bit faster than we expected. We flew down the hill.

Still smiling though. It was a fun ride!

Next up, my ride with Daddy!

Lastly, my ride with mommy.

After we went sledding down the hill, we realized just how much fun it was to get rides on the ice. Daddy would push me really fast.

My own little ice path. Here I go! I had a huge smile on my face the entire time.

Oliver and I did a little bit of crashing.

After all of our exercise, Grammi told us we could make hot chocolate with her.

After a yummy dinner that Grammi made, I had some snuggle time with Dzia Dzia before bed.

Eating an ice cream and sharing the Skippyjon Jones story with Grammi. Oliver and I had a special treat. We set up our cots in Grammi and Dzia Dzia's room and had a sleepover with them.

When we woke up in the morning, we snuggled with mommy before we all went out for breakfast.

When we got back from our Maine vacation, we played dress up. We had a really fun weekend, especially because daddy was off from school!

Sharing Our Bedtime Routine with Gabriella

The other night Gabriella came over so she got to share our bedtime routine with us. We were very excited to play with her, especially when she found the baby stroller because then we decided to chase each other. Oliver had the baby stroller and was running around, followed by me and then Gabriella. I think we wore each other out!
Gabriella had lots of fun pushing the baby stroller around the house.

She and Oliver were giggling over something. I'm not sure but Oliver was probably being silly!

Oliver was telling Gabriella about all the things she'd be able to do when she was three...like put her own pajamas on and use the potty. He then put this doll on her head and said she had a ponytail now (just like the baby)!

Finally it was time for the three of us to go upstairs to read our books before Oliver and I went to bed. Oliver remembered Uncle Mike telling us that Gabriella usually has milk around this time so he got it out of the refrigerator for her. Here he is telling us that we are going to read The Grapes of Math upstairs.

Once we were on the big bed, Oliver helped Gabriella drink her milk.

Then Oliver told her she could pick out one of the books to read tonight.

Gabriella and I decided we would much rather have some girl time and "chat" with each other. I think Oliver grew a little impatient with us.

Tickles for Gabriella!!!

I don't remember what we were talking about here but it must have been pretty interesting.

I wanted to make sure to give Gabriella some of her milk too!
Gabriella loved playing with my "day day."

One last sip of milk before reading our books. Gabriella knows how to drink her own milk, as mommy told us, so that's why she's probably looking at me like I'm being silly!
Before Gabriella left, Oliver told mommy that he did not want Gabriella to leave. He said he would be very sad when she left. We all had a fun night!
