37, 2 and 12

37= The number of diapers we have been through in the past 24 hours.
2= The number of boxes of wipes.

12= The number of popsicles...that's definitely something worth smiling about!

It's been downright icky in our house the past few days but we are on the road to recovery!!! We found some energy to make a duck family. I named my duck Adelaide.

Blah!

It is safe to say that Oliver and I have been under the weather the past couple of days. One of the BEST parts about not feeling well is that I got to have popsicles and snuggle with my brother. Well, I should clarify that it is mostly my brother who hasn't been feeling well but I've been keeping him company!

Over the weekend, we visited with Mimi and Papa and as Papa said, "She just fits in my arms." I was very cozy with Papa.

I also had some hugs for Mimi!

I got a new pair of sunglasses that I was excited to wear around the house. Here's to hoping for really warm and sunny weather soon!

Silly Billy Gone Willy

We always say "silly billy gone willy" in our house, but today it was definitely silly Adelaide and Oliver have gone willy. We were having a blast running around laughing. Oliver had been under the weather the past few days but was feeling better and this made for a much happier household. Oliver started the silliness...
.....and of course I quickly followed!!!

Baked Bananas, Gift from Grammi and Daddy's Back!

The other day Oliver came home from school so excited to tell us about the baked bananas they made for a snack. He said it was "yummy yum" and asked if we could all make it. Mommy opened up his backpack and there was the recipe! While we were at Christine's on Friday, mommy went to the grocery store and got what we needed to make it on Friday afternoon. I couldn't wait for this yummy treat!

First, you melt butter, brown sugar and cinnamon in a pan. I wasn't quite old enough to do this so I watched Oliver.
Then, you have to slice up the bananas. Oliver and I took turns helping each other.

Then, you pretend to put the banana peel in with the bananas.
You cook it in the oven for thirty minutes and the result is a delicious treat that is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers!!!

We spent Saturday night at Grammi and Dzia Dzia's house while mommy went to her friend Jen's wedding. We saw mommy's friends and their children on Sunday morning. It was fun to see all the other kids. Unfortunately, Oliver wasn't feeling well. While we were there, Oliver got a little grumpy and then started sneezing and got some hives. Turns out he's definitely allergic to cats! Then, he woke up this morning with a cold. My poor brother.

When I am just waking up from a nap or a little nervous about something I touch the top of my lip. I don't know why I do it, but I do.

On Sunday afternoon, we headed back to Grammi and Dzia Dzia's house so mommy could do a science experiment with Dzia Dzia. Grammi made me this cute poncho...it will be perfect for this spring!

Here is a picture of us with the materials!

After Grammi and Dzia Dzia's we came home, had dinner and mommy told us that daddy was coming home! We stayed up to see him. Here we are lounging on the bed.

When all of the sudden we spot daddy!

Daddy has surprises!!! Having him come home was present enough for me, but what girl doesn't like a little present from her dad?

What else could it be but a Hello Kitty watch!!! And, a tshirt from Hong Kong Disney.
I really missed daddy while he was away. I made him come in to say good night to me and give me kisses twice before I finally fell asleep. I was SO happy to see him!

I Heart Skype and Other Adventures

While a certain someone who we love has been away we have been having a blast with skype. It is so cool to see him in HK! We always get a kick out of it when he calls. We quickly run over to our chair, mommy sets up the computer and the fun begins! I am really concerned about what food he is eating over there. My questions usually consist of "What did you have for breakfast? What did you have for dinner? What did you have for lunch? Will you bring me back a surprise?" And then I start that same line of questioning all over again. The other day, he moved the computer to show us something and I was CONVINCED he was showing us his bathroom. I started laughing and then realized he was showing us his bed. Silly me!

Oliver has really been into magic lately which means that I have become his devoted assistant. While he says, "Abra cadabra, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls" I just stand there. I do a pretty good job if it if I do say so, but still.

Yesterday was a beautiful day. It was cold but it was sunny and dry so we bundled up and went to the park. We were SO excited to be there and to get to play on the playground.

Mommy always says to us that the moments when she realizes just how much we've grown up is when we go back to a playground months later and can now do all sorts of things we wouldn't have done the prior time. I decided to climb over this car and I never would have done that this past fall.

I also enjoyed taking Oliver and me to the Museum of Science and then to Target. We had some fun adventures in that car before it got really cold!
Mommy has been getting a kick out of listening to me figure out the meanings of words that are more abstract. Yesterday in the car I was trying to correctly use the word "both." So I said, "I like spending time with you and I like going to Maine with Grammi and Dzia Dzia. I like both of them." And then I used a few other examples. Another word I'm trying to figure out is "normally." Mommy asked me if I wanted to buckle the top part of my carseat and I responded "I normally do that." I think I've figured that out. There are so many different things to learn!!!

Cozy PJ's

I think that these pajamas might possibly be the coziest ones ever! I love them. They are so soft and snuggly. I couldn't help but show them to you! In other news, Oliver and I went overnight with Grammi and Dzia Dzia to Maine this weekend. We left on Saturday and came back today. We had a great time. We went for a long walk in the carriage, we ate hot dogs, ice cream cones and read lots of books! We even had a sleepover on our cots in their rooms. When I got home, I had lots of kisses and hugs for mom and kept on telling her "I missed you too." This time change has thrown us off a little bit. We finally fell asleep at 8:15.

Happy Birthday to Daddy!

Today is daddy's birthday but we celebrated yesterday. During the day, we got everything all ready for daddy's party. Then, after a very early dinner for us it was time to get dressed in our party clothes and wait for daddy to come downstairs. Oliver really wanted to dress in his Buzz costume and I wore something pink and girly!Grammi and Dzia Dzia also came by to celebrate with us!
I am eagerly waiting by the stairs to see daddy!
Big hug for him when he got to me!
After we took a family picture, it was time for the cake!
We got daddy a Harpoon IPA beer cake. Harpoon IPA is his favorite beer, so we thought why not have it made into a cake. Mommy told us it was a marble cake. Oliver kept on asking her when we would see the marbles in the cake. Once mommy explained that marble cake was vanilla with chocolate swirls, he wasn't as interested in seeing the inside.

Silly daddy, you can't drink a beer cake!!!
Well, I mus say that the best part of the cake was the REALLY blue frosting that turned by face bright blue. It sure tasted good.

After the cake and ice cream, we played with the balloons.
Before the party, mommy, Oliver and I had a little dance party with the instruments.

We enjoyed celebrating daddy's birthday. Oliver and I picked out the plates and napkins so we went with a Sponge Bob decor. I love daddy and was happy to celebrate his special day.
