PEM, Ballerina and Park

After we got back from Maine, we spent the rest of Tuesday relaxing. We definitely needed a day to unwind but mommy had told us that we were going to the Peabody Essex Museum on Wednesday. There was a new display called Eye Spy, Playing with Perception in the Art and Nature Center. We hadn't been to the museum since the new display came in so we were looking forward to checking it out. I really liked looking at the pictures through the 3d glasses!

In the back corner are all sorts of boxes with different toys to play with. I enjoyed figuring out how to make this top spin.

The final stop we made was to this room where we could look through the lenses and see different pictures in 3d. We both LOVED looking at the pictures and pushing the switch to change what we saw. After about 20 minutes mommy finally directed us out of that room.

When we got home, we tried on a special surprise that we got for Grace, Ryan and me for while we are at Cape Cod. Mommy saw these ballerina pajamas that also have leggings so she picked them up for my cousins as well. The reason why we tried them on is because Oliver found them and insisted on trying on one of the pairs of pajamas. Out of courtesy to Oliver I decided not to post any pictures of him wearing the ballerina pjs. He had all three pieces on. He did make a pretty good looking ballerina though.

I tried out a few different poses!

Twirling around was definitely my favorite!

This morning mommy did something kind of strange- she served us sausage and blueberries in ice cream cones. I thought it was great. She told us it was because the dishwasher was running but I still thought it was really fun.

Charley is really wanting a bite!

Later on in the day we headed to our favorite park.

I watched Oliver climb up to the slide. I wasn't sure how I was going to get there. The next few pictures show me trying to figure it out by myself!

How am I going to get down?

I will slowly sit down and lean as far as I can until my feet touch.

I DID IT!!!!

The Way Life Should Be- Part 2

One of my big accomplishments from this weekend is that I can successfully climb up the stairs without using hands.

Oliver gave me big hugs once I made it up the stairs!

Hanging out with Gabriella. Who knew a squeaking giraffe could be so popular...I love this toy!

Going on one of the many walks I went on this weekend.

Exploring the woods near the street!

Introducing Gabriella to Mr. Potato Head.

I got lots of attention from Rob and Daddy!

Just waking up from a nap on the boat.

I decided I was finally ready to go in the water...but didn't really want to put my arms in!

Great Aunt Laurie made a pool cake and we got to enjoy it!

The Way Life Should Be- Part 1

It's been a hot and humid summer so mommy decided that she, Oliver and I should head up to Maine to get a little retreat from the heat. We'll be up here for almost a week but here are some pictures from the first few days. We arrived on Wednesday afternoon and we were very excited to hit the water.

I surprised Oliver and mommy by going right in. Who knows, maybe I was just thirsty but either way I got in the water!

We didn't let the change in weather dampen our spirits. When it started to rain we spent a little more time down at the beach and then we had baths, got our pajamas on and went for a walk down the road. Oliver was very excited to push my stroller and I thought it was hysterical. We also decided that since it was raining we should wear our boots.

I asked mommy for her phone and proceeded to "call" Papa. Mommy wasn't sure if I was calling Cape Cod Papa or Maine Papa but I had a lot of fun pretending someone was on the phone!

After a full nights sleep we were ready to go this morning. We started out the day in Babci's chair eating some raisins to get our energy to take Charley for a walk.

This time we decided to take the car.

After our walk, I really wanted to go on the swing but it was wet so Oliver kindly offered to dry the entire swing for me!

And then while Oliver dried our entire car too, I swung in the swing.

It was a beautiful, sunny day today. Mommy asked us if we wanted to dangle our feet in the water off the dock. We were very excited to do so, me included UNTIL I realized that I was too short. My feet don't reach!

After the morning at the beach we shucked our corn for dinner.

I should say Oliver shucked the corn while I tried to eat it!

After lunch and a little rest we went to the Naples Public Library. They had all sorts of toys and a huge section of stuffed animals that we loved!

We read a few books before heading back to Grammi and Dzia Dzia's house to go to the beach!

On our way down to the beach we stopped in to say hi to Mimi and Papa and there was a yummy surprise waiting for us! They had gotten us some munchkins with sprinkles!!!

Life doesn't get much better than this!

At the very end of the day, a real duck swam up to the beach. I loved watching the duck!
