Richmond Vacation, Part 2

On Saturday, we went for a walk near our hotel. First we stopped at the fountain. Oliver was very excited to show me the fountain!

We decided to go on a canal walk so Oliver and I figured out where to walk.

We went over the bridge with mommy before heading over to look at the train.

Taking a little rest.

Trying to find a good hide and seek spot.

SOOOO tired. Really glad daddy gave me a ride.

After the canal walk, we headed over to the Richmond Children's Museum. The following pictures speak for themselves.

We spent some time with our uncles.

On Saturday night, mommy and daddy went to a wedding while we had a babysitter come to our hotel room. She was really nice and took good care of us!

Richmond Vacation, Part 1

This past weekend I went on my first airplane ride. Oliver had gone a couple of times when he was little but this was my first time. I was really excited. I spent lots of time before the flight keeping an eye out for our plane.

Nonna read us some books while we waited. We got to the airport about an hour and a half before our flight which meant we had lots of time to wait before boarding.

Once we were on the airplane we got to open our backpacks and see what surprises awaited us. I had a new Dora book, coloring book, crayons and stickers. One of the other perks to being under 2 is that I got to sit on mommy's lap the entire time.

The airplane bothered my ears a tiny bit but didn't keep me from having fun!

Once we landed, I got to ride on daddy's suitcase while we waited for the rental car.

Here I am having a pretend conversation with Grammi and Dzia Dzia about my flight. They weren't really on the phone but I had a fun time lounging around, wearing my slippers and pretending to talk on the phone!

That first night we went to Jenny and Phillip's rehearsal dinner. I met my cousin Isabelle and we had SO much fun running around together. We became instant friends. Mommy forgot her camera that night, but more pictures to follow of Isabelle and me.

This is a Story about a Girl and Her Baby

I have to tell you a story. I have a doll named Moo. I really love Moo. I sleep with her at night and play with her during the day. Well, Moo did not have her own place to sleep or her own carseat until mommy took us to the Children's Drop and Shop on Friday. Mommy told us when we got there that we could each pick out one toy. My face completely lit up. And then, I spotted it...a carseat for my baby! Moo would be so happy. So, I picked it up and dragged it over to mommy. Then, I spotted a baby cradle. I picked that up too. Mommy told me I could only pick one thing. Then, she changed her mind (after realizing that the total cost of these two things was $6) and told me I could have both.

Well, you should have seen how happy I was. In fact, I refused to let anyone else carry them to the car. So, I dragged the carseat and cradle all the way down the hill to our car and then only asked for help when I couldn't lift them into the car. Oh, I am so happy that my little Moo now has a cradle. I put her in it and say "night night, little baby." And give her a big kiss on the head.

Here's a reenactment of how I carried all of my new baby toys to the car.

We also went to the North Beverly elementary school playground this weekend. There were some kids playing soccer and I had fun watching them!

Oliver helped me down the slide!

I'm slowly getting the hang of puzzles.

This morning we got together with some of mommy's college friends and picked apples.

One of my favorite parts was eating the apple cinnamon donuts after!

I like Cupcakes...and Slippers...and Tumbling!

This is a random assortment of pictures from this week. My weekly fun included making cupcakes and eating them, hanging with Oliver, getting cozy wearing my pink slippers and going to the Little Gym.

Trucks, Trucks and More Trucks

Yesterday, mommy took us to Touch A Truck Day at Endicott Park. There were so many different types of trucks. We saw construction trucks, dump trucks, military trucks, tractors, ambulances, fire trucks and police cars. I actually had so much fun pretending to drive these different trucks. In fact, on a couple of them, I didn't want to get off of them but there were other kids waiting so I gave in.

Here is one of those moments...I definitely didn't want to get off!

Does The Little Gym Count as Going to School?

Well, I got a backpack as a surprise. It's an owl! I was very excited to use my new pack. This morning I saw Oliver getting everything ready for his backpack and I really wanted to take mine too! Then mommy told me the good news- I was going to a class of my own! Today was a Little Gym day. I watched Oliver go all last spring and now it was my turn. Mommy put me in a special fall outfit.

I made sure that my backpack had all of the essentials- a change of clothes, diapers and a water bottle.

I realized we had to drop Oliver off at school before we went to our class.

The Little Gym was really fun! Mommy didn't take any pictures but I had a great time. Sadie was there too! I really like spending some special time just with Mommy. I did get VERY excited to pick Oliver up though. When we got to his school I kept on asking mommy if it was time to pick up Oliver. As must as he really gives me a hard time, I do love him and I missed him!

Lately, I've also been into asking people: Do you love me?
I would also much rather receive kisses than give them! Those are my latest developments.
