9 Months Old!!!

So, mommy and daddy and fam have been keeping me way way too busy to write but I managed to sneak in a second.  Now that I am 9 months old, I felt like I should let you know what fun things I'm doing.  Today I got my first tooth...finally!  Not that I've been having ANY problems eating food mind you.  I LOVE to eat.  I use my hands and can hardly get the food in fast enough.  I clap all the time and wave to everybody I see.  I have recently started saying "hi" and "bye" when I wave.  I say "dada" all the time when I see my daddy.  I also say "dahg" for dog, "up" and "ah done".  I stand holding on to things and am trying to crawl but really why move on my own when I can be carried everywhere.  I love that my brother calls me "princess".  I already have him eating out of the palm of my hand.  Gotta Run...the bed calls.

Sitting Up and Hugging Mom

Now that I am almost 6 months old, I am doing all sorts of things...sitting up, trying bananas and sweet potatoes, rolling over and laughing all the time.  Oliver had better watch out because soon I'll be chasing after him!

Recent Pictures

I thought maybe I would start sucking my thumb but decided I preferred a pacifier!

Oliver sleeps with a blankie and Mickey at night so when he saw me sleeping he thought I needed his Mickey too.

More pictures to follow soon...I've been keeping everyone busy!

A Birthday, Lots of Love and Hanging with the Girls

Yesterday was dad's birthday.  Oliver and I made daddy a sign in honor of his birthday.  Dziadzia came over to babysit us while mommy and daddy went out for dinner.  I behaved like a true lady and made it very easy for Dziadzia to take care of me.

Whether he admits it or not, Oliver loves me more and more every day.  I can tell by all the kisses he gives to me.  I reciprocate by holding his hand and smiling at him whenever I can.

Here are a few pictures of mommy and me all dressed up to go to Aunt Barbara and Uncle Shawn's house for a Polish feast.  I didn't get to eat anything but my mouth was watering.  I have been sending all sorts of signals to my parents that I want FOOD!  Maybe when I go to the doctor's on Friday he'll give the okay for me to try rice cereal.

I have two third cousins that were born around the same time as me.  Harper (left) was born in January and Sadie was born in the middle of December.  I am the oldest!

Beauty Sleep, Valentine's Day, Bumbo and More!

So, one of my favorite things in the world to do is cuddle...and sleep for that matter.  If someone is holding me, I am bound to either be smiling or sleeping!  I'm warning my mom and dad that now that I am almost 4 months old I probably won't be sleeping as much.  I have too much to do!

I am finally big enough for the jumperoo.  My brother calls it the jumpie and for some reason he insists that I spend lots of time in this chair.  He loves to show me toys and make me smile.

I also get to sit in my bumbo.  I'm still figuring it out but I think I like it!

February was a fun month.  First, there was Valentine's Day where my brother and I got our first real picture together.  He cooperated just long enough to sit next to me.  I also made my first trip to Maine.  What a fun place.  My brother got to go sledding but I was too little.   Next year I'll be ready!  I did go shopping with just Grammi and mommy.  Some quality girl time!  Last weekend, we went to the Museum of Science with mommy and daddy.

A few days ago I also laughed for the first time.  Daddy was holding a dog and bouncing it around and I started laughing...it was pretty funny.

I have to go...

Love, Adelaide

Recent Pictures

Here are some recent pictures of me at around 10-11 weeks old.  My latest development is that I can sit propped up against a pillow on the couch.  I can hold my head up on my own.

My brother loves to give me kisses!

He can make me smile and laugh like nobody else can.

Daddy giving me a bath.

All bundled up to brave the cold weather.  I think we were going to the Peabody Essex Museum.

My new friend Sadie.  We were born six weeks apart.  We've already had a few playdates.

My First Christmas

Wow!  What an exciting first Christmas for a little lady.  I had no idea what I was in for.  Oliver had told me that it was going to be fun but it was even better than I could have hoped for, especially because I was able to spend so much time with all the people I love so much.
Here is a picture of me on Christmas Eve wearing my first dress.

On Christmas Eve, mommy and daddy had Nonna, Papa, Grammi, Dziadzia, Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Mike over for the Feast of Seven Fishes.   I wasn't able to eat any of the food but it smelled really yummy.  Next year I will be able to try everything.  Before we went to bed, mommy and daddy read Oliver and me our Christmas books.  Mommy and daddy got me the book "Queen of Christmas".  After we read our stories together, mommy and daddy told me to put my book somewhere that Santa could find it and that is where he would leave my presents.  My brother put his book on his bear chair so I decided to put my book on my bouncy chair.  And then we were all off to bed.

The next morning when we woke up, we discovered Santa had visited the night before.  Here is a picture of me with my Papa and my stocking.  I was still worn out from the night before.

Before we went over to Uncle Mike and Aunt Carolyn's I changed once again into another dress.  A girl can't have too many dresses!

The day continued with a visit to Great Aunt Barbara and Great Uncle Shawn's house for Christmas dinner.  I got to meet my Babci for the first time.  She is 92 years old and a pretty great person.

Here's a family photo from Christmas night.  My poor brother is getting some of his teeth in.  I told him that is not an excuse for biting me though!  He's been pretty good since I laid down the law!

I met my Aunt Erin and Uncle Dan for the first time the weekend after Christmas.

So tired!!!

Apparently, while I was sleeping Uncle Dan and Aunt Erin's puppy Jules decided to give me kisses.  Good thing I was asleep...not sure how excited I would have been about it.

Uncle Dan and me just chilling.  I like to rest my head on my arm.

I am getting big.  At my two month checkup, we found out I am 11 lbs 5 ounces and 23 1/2 inches long.  I am trying so hard to communicate with everyone by cooing and making lots of different sounds.  I love to smile and I love to be held.  I am happiest when I am being held.  I love my brother Oliver.  I am always following him with my eyes.  He gives me lots of kisses on my head which makes me very happy.  He's a good big brother.

Mommy's friend Tara came to visit.  I was very comfortable in her arms.  I can't wait to see her again.

Until next time, Adelaide
