With Weather Like This How Could We NOT Go to the Park?

What a beautiful weekend. Mommy took us to the park on Friday and we had a blast. We went to Pingree Park and played...and played...and played! Oliver even taught me how to throw sand. Mommy was not happy.

The weekend fun continued on Saturday when we went to Rob and Vy's house for dinner. They were so kind to have us in addition to mommy and daddy. The food was DELICIOUS!!! Oliver and I gobbled it up.

Today we spent most of the day with daddy because mommy had to go to a bridal shower. Daddy took us for a nice long walk!

Recent Pictures

Here are a few recent pictures. This one was taken today wearing the fabulous hat Nonna got for me matched with a dress my mom picked up last year. I feel like I look very French which is fine because I am really enjoying my Eloise book (thanks Auntie Erin).

One of my other faves is Dora. Of course. I am making mom very happy because I am enjoying books. Mom keeps telling me that I grew up overnight.

Recently we celebrated daddy's birthday complete with a cake, hats, decorations and lots of fun! I love daddy so much.

Tried on the dress Uncle Chris brought back from Vietnam for Gabriella (mommy told me we didn't know if they would have a girl but we got it just in case!)

I literally fell over the other day and couldn't get up. My hair has grown so much in the past week.

Introducing my new cousin Gabriella! Isn't she a doll. I am SO excited that I have another girl to play with. Hip Hip Hooray!!!!!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

What a day. We had a fun day! Last year I was too young to really get it, but this year I loved every minute of St. Patrick's Day. The first stop was to Cakes for Occasions where we got a beer cake for Uncle Mike and Daddy and lots and lots of pot of gold mini-cupcakes for everyone at Harpoon. Also, the woman at Cakes for Occasion gave me a cupcake and took my picture for her facebook page! We dropped off the beer cake to Uncle Mike. He may have wanted the real thing, but had to settle for cake. I think Oliver thought it WAS the real thing!

Next up: Harpoon where we got to be little Leprechauns and surprise Daddy's co-workers with treats.

We loved meeting all of dad's colleagues.

Finally, it was lunchtime at A&J our favorite spot. But, I decided that if I am not going to get hair the real way, I may as well wear fun hats!

Loved ending the day outside! All in all, a fun day filled with LOTS of sugar!

Decided to Walk and Talk this Year!

At 14 months I decided one Sunday that it was time to start walking and I haven't stopped since. It was as if I had been walking forever. Life is so much more fun now that I am able to walk. Oliver likes to hold my hand and he tells me he's "So proud I found you.". For Valentine's Day we had fun! We played Cupid and dropped off roses to Grammmi and Aunt Carolyn. We also made Valentines and got dressed up. Oliver and I worked hard on our photo books that we made for Grammi and Dzia Dzia and Nonna and Papa.

Oliver plays it cool but I know he loves me!

Mommy had us do a little runway walk after I learned how to walk. I'm striking a pose!

Oliver occasionally gets time outs and I decided to sit with him during one of his time outs. One of the downsides to turning 16 months is that I get time outs too...so annoying, Mom!!!

A big advantage to having an older brother like Oliver is that I have really learned to talk. I have a list of words and phrases that I say! Here are a few: Hi (mommy, daddy etc), Well, Oh, Thank You, Please, Go Dog Go, Click Clack Moo, Crib Go Night-Night, I do, I am, Happy I am, Want One, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, I count to 7 but always forget number 4, Have a Good Day, Bye...see Soon, Love You, Eyes, Ear, Mouth, Nose, Head, Hair, Be be, Fruit Chews, Chips, High Chair, Milk, Wawa, baby. When mommy last counted I had over 120 words. I like to talk.

Where Has All the Time Gone?

What a great rest of the year I had! Mommy, Daddy, Oliver and I were so busy that I didn't have time to write! So, here's the recap in a nutshell: in the fall, spent time with my cousins, Grace and Ryan on Cape Cod. We celebrated Grace's third birthday! I love my cousins. I also spent time with my other cousin Lorelai. Mommy's friend Lauren came to visit and we watched her race in Boston. We went up to Maine for one last fall weekend and we will go back in the spring.

Mommy and daddy took me on a Polar Express ride with Oliver. Apparently I went last year too but was too little to enjoy it!
We also went shopping for the Toys for Tots program. Mommy took us to pick out a toy for another child. I picked out Strawberry Shortcake house. I kind of wanted to keep it for myself but thought better of it!

By my first birthday I am still not walking but I love to climb on things and trust me, I figure out how to get around. I am not going to miss a minute of fun!

I had a fun first birthday! Mommy and daddy threw me a party and I had lots of guests...Grammi and Dzia dzia, Nonna and Papa, Uncle Mike and Aunt Carolyn, Chris and Michelle, my cousin Lorelai and Sandra and Dawn to name a few!

I even got to wear a tiara. I have to say I am one happy little girl. I love being around other people. Even though my Grammi claims that I fall asleep every time I see her, I really am just tired and trying to grow! At my one year check up I was barely 19 pounds so I am little for my age but it hasn't stopped me from communicating. I let you know what I want all the time!
