Cape Cod- Traditional Rules Need Not Apply!

Last week we spent a few days at Cape Cod with mommy visiting Nonna and Papa. When we got there, we were getting ready to take an outdoor shower when Oliver and I decided we needed to use the potty. Nonna told us that we could go outside since it was Cape Cod. Well, we held her to her word and anytime Oliver tried to go to the bathroom outside at their house, he would say "Nonna, it's okay to go to the bathroom outside because you told me I could on Cape Cod." It made for some very interesting moments.

At the Jamaican barbecue, Oliver and I decided to dance together.

After we ate, we went to a play area and found a wagon. Oliver told me he would give me rides around the farm. As we were playing, another boy who we did not know decided to go along with us for the ride.

The next day, we went to the beach. The weather was perfect. We packed a lunch and spent most of the day on the beach. We went swimming with Nonna and Mommy.

The next day, mommy, Nonna, Oliver and I went to the Heritage Museum to watch a concert and eat a picnic lunch.

Oliver and I found a really cool tree and decided to climb in it.

We also joyfully went on the Carousel ride. As many of you know, I love going on rides. My brother is very conservative. But, he proudly decided that since he was now 4 he was going to ride on a horse. He had a blast!

When we got back from Cape Cod, Nikki watched us for part of the afternoon and the evening. We went to a park, ate dinner and watched a movie. While we were doing that, mommy and daddy were having much more fun on Thompson Island with Harpoon. It was their 25th anniversary and they really celebrated.

There was lobster, corn on the cob, salad, potatoes, chowder and lots of beer.

There was also lots of incredible views of the city. And lots of games, karaoke, dancing and fun!

Mommy and daddy had a great time!

Naughty and Nice

The Naughty Side of Me:

Would you believe that this fully clothed little girl...

Decided to take off her underpants and pants in the middle of the woods...

And proceed to hide them next to a tree?

Even better, she looks so innocent standing here in the woods. (she does NOT have any pants on)

Clearly she is up to no good!

Uh oh, she got caught by mommy AND some lovely people who were walking their dog.

She finally decided to put her pants back on and continue her walk.
(On an exciting note: those undies mean that I am successfully potty trained! I decided on Saturday I wanted to wear underwear and have been wearing them since then)

The Nice Side of Me:

The other day, I went raspberry picking with mommy and Oliver and mommy told us it was one of the funnest afternoons she had with us.

I was being so sweet and loving. I kept on flashing huge smiles. I also made a wish on this flower. I wished for a little baby doll.

I successfully managed to put eight raspberries in my basket. The rest went in my mouth.

After picking, we played on the web of ropes.

It was a wonderfully entertaining day of being naughty and nice.

Three Amigos!

Last week, we went up to Maine to see Grammi, Dzia Dzia, Lorelai and Cali. When we arrived on Saturday, we were excited to see our cousins! Lorelai, Oliver and I became the Three Amigos and were called that for the rest of the week. While mommy was making a salad, she gave us some finger olives to put on our fingers. We thought that was pretty cool!

We also watched Grammi feed Cali some yummy squash.

I am not quite sure what Lorelai and I are doing here but we had fun playing together.

Daddy held Cali.

Our night time routine consisted of Oliver, Lorelai and I getting our pajamas on and hopping on the bed. We read three books, said our favorite parts of the day and then Lorelai would head upstairs to sleep on the cot in Grammi and Dzia Dzia's room while we slept in our usual room.

On Sunday, we quickly put on our swimsuits to go back down to the beach again. Before we went down, we had breakfast and took our picture.

Once at the beach, daddy took us out to the floating dock. We all wore the Puddle Jumper jackets which were great. Lorelai has a great imagination too so we spent some time pretending we were dogs. I was Doggie Ada Ad, Lorelai was Doggie La La and Oliver was Doggie Brinkle. Mommy would throw our toys and we would catch them in the water. Oliver and Lorelai also pretended to be swans and hide their swan eggs. It was a very entertaining week.

We went out on the boat also. We spent time down near Pirate and Turtle Island.

We went in the water using the noodles.

After a few minutes in the water, I decided that I wanted to just lounge on the boat.

Daddy and mommy also took us out on the paddleboat.

On Sunday night, we played with the chalk in the driveway. Yes, I did try to eat the chalk!

Lorelai, Oliver and I were also fascinated by Cali's bouncy chair. I loved pretending I was a baby.

Dzia Dzia read me lots of books.

On Monday, the weather was a little overcast so Dzia Dzia and mommy took us to see the Winnie the Pooh movie and go out for ice cream.

The next day, the weather cleared up and the Three Amigos were headed back down to the water!

Cali got a LOT of attention from me this past week. I loved smiling at her, hugging her, kissing her and spending time with her.

We had a pizza picnic one evening. It started off with imaginary food and then when the real food arrived, we continued our picnic!

Our week in Maine would not have been complete without washing the cars!

Mommy's camera ran out of battery so some of our adventures near the end of the week were not captured but it is safe to say that we had a great time!
