Disney Vacation- Day Two

The second day we woke up and went to breakfast before heading over to Epcot for the day.  Oliver and Adelaide were so excited to meet Mickey Mouse.  I was not sure if they were going to see him at Epcot but we were hopeful he would make an appearance.

Once we got into the park, we saw Daisy!  Oliver and Adelaide were so excited to see her.  They went running over for a big hug.  While they were getting hugs, Chris popped over to a gift shop to buy autograph books and pens for Adelaide and Oliver.  When I went to Disney as a little child, I had an autograph book and I still have it.  The other day, Oliver found it and looked through it.  He couldn't believe that I had Mickey Mouse's autograph:).  The kids were excited to have their autograph books with them.

We hadn't walked far when we saw a character meet and greet spot.  Because it was so early in the morning, there was hardly a line.  We went right in and the first character they saw was Mickey Mouse.  Oliver and Adelaide had their ears on and were just thrilled.  It made my heart happy to see how excited they were to be in Disney World.

 They loved meeting Pluto!

Goofy was hysterical.  He had a funny dance that he did before hugging the kids.

After meeting the characters, we went over to the Finding Nemo ride which was so much fun.  The kids loved sitting in the clamshells.  We actually rode that ride twice.

We then went to the interactive show with Crush.  While they were waiting for the show to start, Oliver, Adelaide and Gabriella watched the fish tank.

Carolyn and I decided to take a silly picture with the ears.

Here is a picture of my dad that Chris took while we were outside of the Finding Nemo ride.

I did not take many pictures during the rest of the day because we were so busy going from ride to ride.  We went on Soarin' which was probably my favorite ride of the entire trip.  We also did Spaceship Earth and Ellen's Energy Adventure Figment, Innoventions and Living with the Land.

Carolyn and Mike had recommended bringing the stroller and I am SO glad we did.  If we hadn't, we would have either had to rent a stroller or carried lots of tired little kids.  After all, they are only 4 and 3.  Such a good decision!
The kids were such troopers and kept going strong.  We fed them an early dinner at the park and tried to have them fall asleep in the stroller so that the adults could stop for dinner somewhere.  It became obvious that Oliver and Adelaide were probably not going to fall asleep and it was SO crowded at the countries that we decided to head back to the resort and eat dinner there at about 8.

One really funny moment of the trip was when we were in the countries and trying to get Oliver to fall asleep.  He decided to list all of the reasons why he did NOT like being in Disney.  The list included "the trees and the food."  I forget the rest but he finally ran out of reasons.  He must have listed ten reasons before he couldn't think of anything.  Clearly, he LIKED being in Disney but was tired and looking to vent.  Carolyn and I were walking with him while he was in the stroller and we just let him vent and get all of his "frustrations" out:)!

Overall, I would say it was a wonderful day!
