Daddy's Special Day!
This past weekend was a very exciting one for daddy and also for us! For the past few years, daddy has been working hard to get his MBA and work full-time. We are so excited that he passed (Oliver seemed very concerned about this for some reason) and are really looking forward to spending lots more time with daddy!
The night before his big day, I had some daddy-Adelaide time that would not be complete without smiles...
Saturday morning we were off to Grammi and Dzia Dzia's for a sleepover while mommy and daddy went into Boston for daddy's ceremony. We packed our suitcase, put on our sunglasses and we were ready for an adventure.

While we were with Grammi and Dzia Dzia, mommy and daddy were at a luncheon. Daddy said a few words.

On Sunday, it was Mother's Day. We had a few surprises in store for mommy when she got home. First, we had flowers and a card.

Second, I got confused and thought it was mommy's birthday so I decided to show her my "birthday suit." This is the last picture daddy took of me before I was bare bottom.

Happy Mother's Day to Grammi and Nonna!
Mommy tells me all the time how lucky I am to have Grammi and Nonna in my life. They are two of the most wonderful women I know. They are always so supportive, loving, generous and fun! I love them both so much.
Happy Mother's Day, Grammi! Mommy tells me stories all the time about my Grammi. Grammi is incredibly smart. When mommy was little, she could always count on her for help with her homework. Grammi made mommy believe that anything was possible. She and my Dzia Dzia worked very hard to enable mommy to go to her dream college (for THAT I am so grateful because she met my daddy there!). Grammi was always there to support mommy. Grammi worked at a nursing job when mommy was a child but mommy often tells me that she hardly remembers that because Grammi still found the time to go to all of mommy's sporting events and activities. Grammi used to make all of mommy's birthday cakes from scratch on her birthday and she always made the holidays feel incredibly special.
Happy Mother's Day, Nonna! Daddy always tells us lots of stories about growing up. He told me that he could always count on Nonna when he had a problem or needed some advice. He also told me that family dinners were so special because Nonna would make the most wonderful meals (I can verify this fact....seeing Nonna means that the most delicious meals are going to happen). He also remembers his 13th birthday when Nonna took him out of school early and took him into NYC to see a show. He said that was one of his best birthdays. Nonna has the ability to make those around her feel loved.

Thank you for being the best mothers to my mommy and daddy. They are so lucky!

My Week
This past week was filled with some fun moments. Last Sunday, we got in the stroller and walked to the park with mommy and daddy. Our tires needed air so we stopped at a gas station on the way. Oliver was giving me some kisses in the stroller.

Behind the Scenes!
So, I thought I'd share some of my favorite "behind the scene" moments. While mommy often puts the fun things in our blog, there are also lots of moments where we are arguing, crying and being messy!
This first picture is to show my special belly button. I don't talk about it often but I have an umbilical hernia. I was born with it and it is my favorite part of my body. I don't know any different but I am often confused when I see other people's "belly button." I usually tell them that they don't have one because it doesn't look like mine:)

Painting. One of my favorite things to do. Not one of mommy's favorites because of the mess it makes. I will pain with anything....I especially love to "paint" with bananas.

These days, I prefer to be completely undressed. Mommy will dress me and a minute later I will be naked. I have Oliver's underpants on in this picture.

Free Spirit...
Mommy always calls me a little free spirit and the time we spent outside yesterday probably gives that description complete justice!
I insisted on wearing my sunglasses outside along with my Crocs. These are probably my two favorite things. Once we got outside, I decided to sit down and take a rest.

Then, I saw grass and thought to myself, "Who needs shoes on when I can be barefoot?" It makes perfect sense to me!
