Eggciting Easter Weekend- Part 1

To start the weekend, we decorated eggs. Gabriella came over to share in the fun! Oliver gave Gabriella the head of the table chair. We had two dozen eggs to decorate, lots of dye, stickers and stamps.
At this point in the afternoon, I was still focused on coloring the eggs.

Mommy and Uncle Mike put the dog chair on the other chair to give Gabriella a better view!

Uncle Mike told Oliver to use the green and the blue to make a two-colored egg. Oliver took this literally because when we looked over, he had poured the blue into the green. Somehow, it did not spill over although it looks like it is about to get everywhere.

I must admit that at this point, I discovered that it was way more fun to put my hands in the cups than do anything else. My hands were really yellow for a day or so. Who doesn't love soaking her hands in yellow water?

Gabriella and I had lots of hugs and kisses for each other. Please pardon my hands.

Peep and Cupcakes

Oh Peep...what can I say? Mommy thought I loved you. Let me be clear- I did love you. I just didn't realize how easy it would be to take off your eyes, wings and nose. While mommy was putting the cupcakes in the oven, I was slowly taking you apart. Well, Peep, I will always remember you.
On to other things. We made cupcakes yesterday. Easter Bunny cupcakes. They were yummy and messy.

My love of cupcakes and cupcake decorating has not subsided. I also want to tell you about my imaginary friends. Their names are Junie and Jen. The other day I set up a tea party and they were happy to attend. I had to introduce Oliver to Junie and Jen. I don't think he really knew who I was talking to...but I did and that's all that matters, right?

Getting Ready for Easter!

The other day we made some Easter bunnies and chick puppets to get ready for the big weekend that is coming up. This chick has been popping up everywhere! Oliver and I will be playing and he'll be peeking over the chair. Or, we'll look up and he'll be watching us from the stairs. Our little Peep puppet has proven to be mighty entertaining!
Our preparations continued today when we stuffed the Easter eggs full of treats for Grammi and Dzia Dzia's Easter egg hunt on Sunday. We took our job very seriously. I ate a lot of the treats but saved enough for the eggs!

Here I am making sure my eggs are carefully placed in the Easter basket.

Filling the eggs...no make that...trying to eat the candy!

Mommy caught me!

Who knew that filling eggs could be so funny!

Apparently mommy and daddy thought I needed a helmet to wear around the house. We picked out these helmets the other day and we've been wearing them when we play, eat and read books.

Perhaps...just perhaps...there will be a special surprise waiting for us this weekend to go along with the helmets:)!!!

Fondue is Fun!

Oliver and I went to one of our favorite parks last week. I rode the tire swing around...and around...and around.

We also had fun delivering "mail" to mommy...meaning sending branches and leaves down a chute to get delivered.

Lots of kisses for mommy the other night,

On Saturday, we went to Scotia's house for a fondue party. It was so yummy! Imagine my delight when I realized I was allowed to dip things into cheese and chocolate!!!

5 Little Words...

Yesterday, mommy was looking through her dresser and found this card. At first, she had no idea what it was. Then, she opened it and remembered. Mommy got a little smile on her face. When mommy was pregnant with me, she went to have her ultrasound. She and daddy had decided that they wanted to be surprised and find out what I was when I was born. But, she also thought that there might come a day during the pregnancy that she would really want to know whether I was a boy or a girl. So, she and daddy asked the woman doing the ultrasound to write down what I was and seal it in an envelope. The only card that mommy had handy was a thank you note. So, shortly after the ultrasound, the tech handed mommy a sealed envelope. This envelope went in the desk drawer and mommy and daddy did not open it. In fact, it wasn't until almost a week after they got home from the hospital that they decided to open it. Inside, here is what the sweet ultrasound woman had written....
This card will always make mommy smile. Now, it has been placed in my memory box.

Just Another Random Wednesday

Yes, I am calling today Random Wednesday because it was just one of those days. First, the Easter Bunny apparently arrived early and delivered me in an Easter basket.
Next, I decided I really wanted mommy to wash my hair in the sink. Random I know. But still fun. Here is the result.

Then, I decided to wear my hat backwards and pretend to deliver Easter eggs.

Imagine our surprise when Nonna and Papa sent a package to us complete with Easter goodies! How did she know that Easter fit into our random Wednesday theme?

I loved my new sandals so much I had to give them a kiss.

Here is the note that Nonna and Papa sent to us.

What mommy really wanted to show you was me wearing a pair of Oliver's new underpants and my new sandals but now that I'm two, it was a little too revealing. Pretty funny though! She had to settle for a picture of me wearing my new sandals with my pants.

We also spent the morning with Nick and Adam which made a rainy day all the more fun! Here's to Random Wednesday!

Can't Go Anywhere Without My Sunglasses!

Warm, sunny weather means two things to me- I get to wear my sunglasses and go to the park! Any day that involves those two things is a good thing. I went to the park with mommy and Oliver.

I feel like a body language analysis should be done here to determine how I feel about my brother. If you take a close look, you'll see that we are sending mixed signals. Oliver is walking one way, I'm walking the other and we are keeping our emotions locked behind our sunglasses. On closer analysis, however, you'll discover that we are holding hands and walking almost stride for stride. My conclusion: Oliver and I love each other as much as a brother and sister possibly could!

We brought Charley to the park so we could throw the ball with him. Oliver threw the ball and Charley would catch it.

If you'll notice, I'm in the background a little distracted by something. Really, who knows!

But, I'm back now!!!

We chased Charley all over the park.

Then we played a combination of hide-and-seek and tag.

Our last stop before heading home was the park. I love the slides!

We had so much fun playing with Charley at the park. We loved throwing the ball to him and chasing him all over the grass. Mostly, though, I was just happy for an excuse to wear my shades.
